HIT aims to become the top global AI lab at the forefront of the finance industry of the future. Hana Institute of Technology is an independent in-house CIC (company in company) of Hana
TI, Hana Financial Group’s affiliate specializing in IT.

HEAD

Hana Institute of Technology (HIT) is a research organization founded in January 2018 to lead the digital transformation of Hana Financial Group in the rapidly changing financial landscape. HIT conducts a variety of research to spearhead Hana Financial Group's digital transformation. HIT's main research areas include:: Data Science: For customer management, credit risk management, and work efficiency; AI Quant: To help customers build assets and design stable retirement plans; Natural Language Processing: To provide a text-based information environment that satisfies customers and employees through the development of natural language processing technology used in financial chatbots; AI Vision: To provide financial OCR technology; UX: For the optimal service experience

2020.01: “Hana THE ONE AI² Lab” (joint research outcome of Hana Financial Investment and HIT) released; Director Kim Jeong-han named HFG CICTO and the head of Hana Bank Innovation & ICT Group

2019.09: First volume of periodical (Tech New Normal) published
2019.08: Moved to HFG Gangnam office building
2019.07: Second prize (“Auto CV”) won at international AI contest for automated deep learning technology; Participation in overseas industry-academia research project (Politehnica University of Bucharest, Romania)
